Solitaire' is an upright, deciduous shrub with thorny stems bearing pinnate leaves divided into ovate, toothed, semi-glossy, dark green leaflets and, from late spring into autumn, clusters of large, strongly fragrant, double, yellow flowers with pink petal margins.
